If they were the same, how could only Jehovah God know the "day and hour," but not Jesus??? -- Matt. 24:36: “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens *NOR the Son*, but only the Father."

Jesus always said... Worship My Father... Jehovah God..

You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole strength and with your whole mind. -- Luke 10:27

God said: “Because he has affection for me, I will rescue him.
I will protect him because he knows my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him.
I will be with him in distress.
I will rescue him and glorify him.
I will satisfy him with long life,
And I will cause him to see my acts of salvation.”

-- Psalms 91:14-16

You, whom I took from the ends of the earth,
And you, whom I called from its most distant parts.
I said to you, ‘You are my servant;
I have chosen you; I have not rejected you.
Do not be afraid, for I am with you.
Do not be anxious, for I am your God.
I will fortify you, yes, I will help you,
I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.’
Look! All those getting enraged against you will be put to shame and humiliated.
Those who fight with you will be brought to nothing and perish.
You will search for men who struggle with you, but you will not find them;
The men at war with you will become as something nonexistent, as nothing at all.
For I, Jehovah your God, am grasping your right hand,
The One saying to you, ‘Do not be afraid. I will help you.’

-- Hebreus 11:6

What is Faith?

What is faith? The apostle Paul wrote: “Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld.” (Hebrews 11:1) Our faith makes us sure that everything God promises in his Word is as good as done. It is as though we possessed a deed proving that we own certain property. Faith is also “the evident demonstration,” or evidence for conviction, regarding unseen things. Our mental perception and heart appreciation convince us that such things are real, although we have not seen them.—2 Corinthians 5:7; Ephesians 1:18.

Faith is NOT a religion.

Faith is the assured expectation of what is hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities that are not seen. -- Hebrews 11: 1

Moreover, without faith it is impossible to please God well, for whoever approaches God must believe that he is and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him. -- Hebrews 11:6

And as for faith being a religion, it is our faith that defines our religion. The ancient Israelites showed that you can be part of a religion, in their case, true religion, and yet lack faith in Jehovah.

Let US.. “Make sure of the more important things.”—PHIL. 1:10.

A friend of mine, as well as a future sister in the truth by the name of Lameya Gadsden posted this and I am sharing it. !

The reason being is because I found a real value in her pointing this out. Studying the truth and loving Jehovah.. she has clearly made a valid point about us all making sure of the 'more important things' in life..

Everyone says that it doesn't matter what you believe as far as religion and that it doesn't matter the God you choose to worship because they all go to the same person. They say God has many names so it doesn't matter which one you address him he will still hear your prayers and respond. They say once "saved" always saved and that no matter what you do in life you are still accepted by God, so live it up to the fullest because life's to short not to be happy.

PAY CLOSE ATTENTION!!!

When Jesus was on earth he didn't preach many religions or many Gods that we should be worshiping. MATTHEW 7:13,14,21

It does matter what we believe because those things are what will mold our entire lives. Eve believed the lie Satan told and look what it got her and the entire human race. GENESIS 1:4-6

Paul a disciple of Jesus said that those that called on the name of Jehovah would be saved. ROMANS 10:13, ACTS 2:21, and JOEL 2:32

We are not here to please ourselves. We are here to please God, Take care of the earth and to bring him Glory by doing his will. Ecclesiastes 12:13, Genesis 1:26-28

*MAKE SURE OF THE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS*

Indeed.. Its amazing how Paul was helping us all to remember the words in the Book of Joel! Though I had to find out who wrote Acts.. the message is still clear.. !

And as my soon to be husband Timothy Coaxum said.. "However, how will they call on him if they have not put faith in him? How, in turn, will they put faith in him about whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach?" - Therefore, it is important for us to persevere and continue in our divinely inspired commission to "Preach the word, be at it urgently"! ROMANS 10:14, 2 TIMOTHY 4:2

A Good Reminder!

Written By: Reginald D. Spence

Are you in the process of symbolizing your dedication to Jehovah by water baptism and/or do you know someone who is? My heart could not be happier for you! And, all of Jehovah's people rejoice when someone can come out of this wicked world! (Eph. 2:2-7)

However, did you now that there are other individuals -- some unseen -- that are none too happy with your decision to serve our Grand Creator. (1 Pe. 5:8) Because of your stand, you now have their undivided attention!

In my almost 40 years of being a servant of Jehovah, I have seen the vicious attacks by Satan, his demons and his henchmen/women on earth in their insatiable desire to stop newly dedicated ones from making any progress AFTER baptism and, unfortunately, he/they have had much success. I'm reminded of the new ones who, in our congregation, recently dedicated themselves and the happiness they shared with their brothers and sisters upon coming out of the water. I remember their faces when their names were announced from the platform as they stood up radiantly when their names were called out and they were introduced as our new brothers and sisters. Sadly, some of these individuals, for various reasons, no longer attend with us any longer. How I hope and pray that they will come back to our meetings, and, most of all, to Jehovah!!!

My point to you is this: we are in a spiritual warfare! Every second -- yes, every minute -- of the day you, as well as the rest of Jehovah's people, are being watched. (1 Co. 4:9) Satan and his demons, because they know that their time is short, are aggressively looking to cause all of us to stop serving Jehovah; however, due to the relative inexperience of newly dedicated ones, like young people, you become a prime target! (Rev. 12:12)

So, while we rejoice with you, please know that it is imperative -- yes, absolutely vital -- for you to put on the "complete suit of armor from God" right now. (Eph. 6:11-18) Now is the time to go on acquiring power in Jehovah, and not in our own strength. (Eph. 6:10; Phil. 4:13; Pr. 3:5, 6) There was a reason why the perfect man's tears became as drops of blood. (Luke 22:44) And, that was AFTER an angel came to strengthen him! (Luke 22:43) Yes, there was a reason why Jesus admonished his followers to exert themselves vigorously. (Luke 13:24) Yes, he knew that salvation would not be like some "walk in the park." (1 Pe. 4:18)

So, may all of us realize that the fact that we are in a spiritual warfare. I see the many posts on Facebook about when we "do this or that" the Devil get's a headache and/or says expressions like "O crap, she's up again." The perfect man, Jesus, fought Satan the Devil by relying heavily on Jehovah and his teachings. (Mt. 4:1-10) Learn from his example, and oppose him at every turn. (James 4:7) Your everlasting life depends upon it!!! Those Facebook posts are no match for a very smart, and vicious, angel that's bent on getting you to stop serving Jehovah!

Do you read your Bible every day? I'm not talking about just the "Examining the Scriptures Daily." I'm talking about chapters!!! At the risk of sounding righteous overmuch, I read my Bible when I get up and I read my Bible when I retire for the evening. (Eccl. 7:16) While none of us know the day or the hour, do you get a sense that the end of this system of things is very close? (Mt. 24:36) I do!!!

Don't even think about missing another congregation meeting. If you can't go, make sure that your family is represented, and share with them the things you learned when you get back home. Family Worship is NOT an optional meeting based on your personal feelings, whims and desires. It is a requirement from Jehovah! Do you treat it that way, or is watching a 30 minute sitcom rerun that you've already seen a half a gazillion times more important to you? Talk to others about the things that you've learned. See their faces at the end of the great tribulation as they lay dying when they ask you: "if you knew these things concerning the truth, why didn't you tell me about them"? Associate with those who love Jehovah as you do. And, you talk to Jehovah, convene with Him, consult with Him like King David did! (2 Sa. 5:19)

We're almost there, brothers and sisters. Dig in, do what Jehovah has taught us and perhaps we'll get to see one another personally without the technology of Facebook! (Hab. 2:3; Zeph. 2:3)
