Our Heavenly Father.. Truly Cares For and Love Us!

Whenever I think about Jehovah our Heavenly Father.. and his Beloved Son.. I think of someone who is holding my hand and never letting go... Of someone who is always so willing to help me and lead me into the right direction!

You, whom I took from the ends of the earth,
And you, whom I called from its most distant parts.
I said to you, ‘You are my servant;
I have chosen you; I have not rejected you.
Do not be afraid, for I am with you.
Do not be anxious, for I am your God.
I will fortify you, yes, I will help you,
I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.’
Look! All those getting enraged against you will be put to shame and humiliated.
Those who fight with you will be brought to nothing and perish.
You will search for men who struggle with you, but you will not find them;
The men at war with you will become as something nonexistent, as nothing at all.
For I, Jehovah your God, am grasping your right hand,
The One saying to you, ‘Do not be afraid. I will help you.’ - Isaiah 41:9-13

“Be courageous and very strong . . . Jehovah your God is with you.”—JOSH. 1:7-9.

Sometimes all of us who are down and tired of this bewildered wicked world, forget that we need complete faith in Jehovah God and also courage to endure all things. We also end up forgetting that we need look to one another as brothers and sisters, not as humans, perhaps of different nationalities, color, or even languages; in the end we are all related. Before Jehovah’s eyes we are all precious and our difference in such things does not really matter to him. In this world, there is just too many prejudices because each individual is either too different or maybe does not belong in certain parts of ‘society’. To be completely fair what has any of this to do with it? In reality, we are all related whether we want to admit it or not. We are descendants of Adam and Eve, yet because of their disobeying Jehovah God’s command they sinned. Not only that but it evidently showed their lack of faith.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” says Paul at Romans 3:23. Adam and Eve’s punishment was death through sin. However, this did not prevent them from having children, of which had inherited such a sin. Thus we grow old and die, we deal with various life threatening complications to the point that it’s unbearable. No one wants to see a loved one pass away in death or even suffer. Nevertheless, the Bible as God’s Word tells us of a provision of a future to come. Jehovah God never said he’d leave us to die. Instead he still provides for us daily. When you go outside on a bright shinny day, what do you see? Or perhaps when you step out in the evening and look up at the sky? There is life all around us of which we should be grateful for. Our lives are so precious to OUR Heavenly Father above that he is not just the Giver of life and the supplier of it, but also the Restorer of it. Jesus illustrates such an example in the book of Matthew, Chapter 6 verse 26 where he says “Observe intently the birds of heaven, because they do not sow seed or reap or gather into storehouses; still YOUR heavenly Father feeds them. Are YOU not worth more than they are?”

Jehovah God first loved us. Everything about his qualities reflects on love. We have fine examples in 1 John 4:8 where it states “He that does not love has not come to know God, because God is love”. One of his greatest show of love for us was sending his Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer and die on our behalf. John 3:16 says “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.” But what is faith? Faith means to convey the thought of confidence, trust, and firm persuasion. Hebrews 11:1 states, “Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld.” Faith also conveys the idea something that underlies visible conditions and guarantees a future possession, as described in the Insight on the Scriptures. In order to be acceptable to God we must let go of all our wickedness and listen to what he has to tell us. Follow not just his laws but also his commandments, his principles. Exercising faith in his beloved Son gives us a future of living forever on earth.

Which moves us to another word we as humans usually do not use or have lack of, Courage. The courage to change and follow Jehovah is not easy but it can be done. Like the scripture at the beginning, Joshua 1:9 says that we need to be strong and courageous for Jehovah God is with you. Leading to this is the ability to stand firm when it comes to trials and tribulation. We may never want to for fear it may injure us, but how much so did Jesus Christ show such a fine example when he put up everything for our sake. Jehovah God was not the only one who loved us, but also his Son. The only human who has existed that I can think of who through faith did as God asked, to offer up his only son, was Abraham of old. He did not have to give his only son, yet he had faith that God would resurrect his son. In fact, he based such faith in God’s promises.

However, always keep in mind that as we are living in the ends of this wicked system of things we must have strong faith and when we lack it, ask God for it. When tribulation and trials, even persecution takes effect we can keep in mind that “God is for us a refuge and strength, a help that is readily to be found during distresses.”(Psalms 46:1) And no matter what, “The name of Jehovah is a strong tower. Into it the righteous runs and is given protection” (Proverbs 18:10). When you feel that it is just too much, do as the Psalmist said in chapter 55 verse 22, “Throw your burden upon Jehovah himself, and he himself will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to totter”.  Sometimes we forget that Jehovah God can help us in anything, more like everything… So Jesus Christ tells us to rely on Jehovah Our God. Proverbs 3:5, 6 says “Trust in Jehovah with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding. In all your ways take notice of him, and he himself will make your paths straight.”

Notice what faithful King David told his son Solomon, “Be courageous and strong and act. Do not be afraid nor be terrified, for Jehovah God, my God, is with you. He will not desert you or leave you until all the work of the service of Jehovah’s house is finished.” (1 Chronicles 28:20).  Though he had made many mistakes, he still had confidence in Jehovah’s promises and no matter what wanted to do what was right. For all his wrongdoings involving Bathsheba and Uriah, he wholeheartedly begged Jehovah in prayer for forgiveness of his sins. When reading Psalm 51, we see his heartfelt remorse against the bad things he had done that appeared bad in the eyes of Jehovah God.

Many of us fall short to Jehovah God’s glory, yet we can still re-kindle our friendship with him by earnestly praying to him in the privacy of our room in secret just as Jesus had advised us to do in Matthew 6:6. In here he says, “You, however, when you pray, go into your private room and, after shutting your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; then your Father who looks on in secret will repay you.” This does not mean that only when we sin must we speak to Jehovah God in prayer but also when we want assistance, when we want help to deal with things. In reality we are invited to speak to him daily. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 asks that we “Pray incessantly.”

And as the Apostle Paul says in Philippians 4:6,7  “Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let YOUR petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard YOUR hearts and YOUR mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.” Whenever you feel that things are too much just read Matthew Chapter 5-7 and keep an eye out for chapter 6 verses 19-34. It gives you a beautiful example and illustration of how Jesus teaches us to look to Jehovah God when times are good or horribly bad. In this Jesus helps us to remember that we are worth more than anything else to Jehovah, so much so that he gave his only-begotten son in our behalf. (John 3:16)

In the Jehovah's Witness Watchtower of November 15th, 2010, indicates that the psalms are rich with expressions of human emotions coupled with repeated assurances that Jehovah does listen to the cry of a lowly one who is overwhelmed by emotional stresses. Consider the following stanzas: We can always keep in mind the Psalmist who wrote, “In my distress I kept calling upon Jehovah, and to my God I kept crying for help. Out of his temple he proceeded to hear my voice, and my own cry before him for help now came into his ears” (Psalm 18:6). Another psalmist said, “Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” (Psalm 34:18). Another fine example of how much Jehovah loves us in depicted in Psalm 147:3 where it says, “He [Jehovah] is healing the brokenhearted ones, and is binding up their painful spots.”  Never forget that one way to approach Jehovah is through prayer. We must never forget that only he can help us to change or even so make life easier and better. Living in this world is hard and no doubt we want it all to go away. Keep in mind too that we are not perfect and we sin daily, yet Jehovah looks past our imperfections and through his Son, he forgives us. In order to draw close to Jehovah we must take into consideration in how Jehovah defines what it means to love him.

In conclusion 1 John 5: 3, 4 says “For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome, because everything that has been born from God conquers the world. And this is the conquest that has conquered the world, our faith.” One thing I have learned is that looking back to all of my past experiences and the dreading of them for doing so much wrong, I can look to Jehovah God for help in forgetting such horrible memories. Even though they make me who I am today, I cannot never forget that it was Jehovah God who has helped me to change so much. It was our heavenly Father who gave me a new personality like it is stated in Ephesians 4:22-24, “That YOU should put away the old personality which conforms to YOUR former course of conduct and which is being corrupted according to his deceptive desires; but that YOU should be made new in the force actuating YOUR mind, and should put on the new personality which was created according to God’s will in true righteousness and loyalty.”

I write this as a reminder to myself in order that I may never forget the blessings and amazing strength Jehovah God through his beloved Son, Jesus Christ, has given me in order to endure all things. He gives me the strength to live on in this world. Sustains me by providing me with my needed daily things which has become so hard to do in this world. Yet I have complete faith through his Son that things will be better soon. As I continue to try my best to go out in the ministry and preach the good news of Jehovah God’s Kingdom. I want to show everyone in the world how a horrible person, such as myself, who had gone through so much as they do or continue to, could change for the better. It also helps that I can read this and smile, because it will remind me of all the amazing things Jehovah has done for mankind; even all the examples of faithful humans who lived before me. Such fine examples are Noah, Rahab, Ruth, Moses, Ebed-melech, Jesus, Paul, so many more and all my amazing brothers and sisters of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

With so many examples of such faithful, devoted, and loyal servants; I want to run the race with them to attain the promise of everlasting life! Just as Paul in Hebrews chapter 12 verse 1-3 says, “So, then, because we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also put off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,  as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus. For the joy that was set before him he endured a torture stake, despising shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Indeed, consider closely the one who has endured such contrary talk by sinners against their own interests, that YOU may not get tired and give out in YOUR souls.” I have high hopes that this will make us feel better and help us through our hard times or days. It sure made me feel special today. :D

Admiring Jehovah God

I find it fascinating. That after all the things I have suffered and all the things I have done, with Jehovah's help I have been able to forget about them. Barely remembering the bad things that used to torment me, but are there as an example to others. That if you try hard and really ask Jehovah God for help, he will really help you. I had to learn and put it to heart that Jehovah God will always be there for you no matter what. I had to learn to really put trust in him fully and depend on him for anything. That when he extends out his hand to you, he will take you in and safeguard you for all of your life. He will embrace you like a child and take care of your injuries, but only if you just let him. Never be anxious of anything and let him take care of the rest. Doing my best to getting to know him, allows me to get to know him better.

“And you, Sol′o·mon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a complete heart and with a delightful soul; for all hearts Jehovah is searching, and every inclination of the thoughts he is discerning. If you search for him, he will let himself be found by you; but if you leave him, he will cast you off forever." - 2 Chronicles 28:9

Remember: “Keep on asking, and it will be given YOU; keep on seeking, and YOU will find; keep on knocking, and it will be opened to YOU." - Matthew 7:7

'And I began to hear the voice of Jehovah saying: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” And I proceeded to say: “Here I am! Send me.” - Isaiah 6:8

And this is a message from Jehovah God, to all of us. 'This is what Jehovah has said, your Repurchaser, the Holy One of Israel: “I, Jehovah, am your God, the One teaching you to benefit [yourself], the One causing you to tread in the way in which you should walk. O if only you would actually pay attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.' - Isaiah 48:17,18

And we must never forget that even Jehovah God himself taught King Nebuchanezzar how to humble himself!  Daniel 4:37 says: “Now I, Neb‧u‧chad‧nez′zar, am praising and exalting and glorifying the King of the heavens, because all his works are truth and his ways are justice, and because those who are walking in pride he is able to humiliate."

What Will God’s Kingdom Accomplish?

A Paradise scene

What Will God’s Kingdom Accomplish?

The Bible’s answer

God’s Kingdom will replace all human governments and rule over the entire earth. (Daniel 2:44) Once that happens, God’s Kingdom will . . .
  • Remove the wicked, whose selfishness harms us all. “As regards the wicked, they will be cut off from the very earth.”—Proverbs 2:22.
  • End all wars. “[God] is making wars to cease to the extremity of the earth.”—Psalm 46:9.
  • Bring prosperity and security to the earth. “Everyone will live in peace among their own vineyards and fig trees, and no one will make them afraid.”—Micah 4:4Good News Translation.
  • Make the earth into a paradise. “Thirsty deserts will be glad; barren lands will celebrate and blossom with flowers.”—Isaiah 35:1,Contemporary English Version.
  • Provide everyone with meaningful, enjoyable work. “The work of their own hands [God’s] chosen ones will use to the full. They will not toil for nothing.”—Isaiah 65:21-23.
  • Eliminate disease. “No resident will say: ‘I am sick.’”—Isaiah 33:24.
  • Set us free from the aging process. “Let his flesh become fresher than in youth; let him return to the days of his youthful vigor.”—Job 33:25.
  • Bring the dead back to life. “All those in the memorial tombs will hear [Jesus’] voice and come out.”—John 5:28, 29.

This is not a work belonging to me. It was published by Jehovah's Witnesses to help meek ones to understand the hidden truth that humans today ignore and avoid taking notice in. To help those who have the desire to learn more about God, to get to know him and also to get to know his only-begotten son Jesus.

A Poem Written By A Jehovah’s Witness Nazi Concentration Camp Survivor

In My Faith
By: Franz Wohlfahrt

In my faith,
 I will always stand firm,
Though this world may taunt and cry,
In my hope,
I will always stand firm,
For a beautiful, better time.
In my love,
I will always stand firm,
Though this world repays with hate,
Devoted,
I will always stand firm,
Though this world disloyal stays.
From God’s Word,
Flows the might of the strong,
And the weak ones it powerful makes,
In God’s grace I will always stand firm,
On my own I could never remain.
With my life,I will even stand firm,
And as I my last breath confer,
You should with that dying gasp hear:
I stand firm,
I stand firm,
I stand firm.

This poem was written by Franz Wohlfahrt (A Jehovah’s Witness Nazi Concentration Camp Survivor). His father was executed in 1939 after he had been called up for military service and explained his standpoint (of not getting involved in any form of man-slaughtering), on Dec 7, 1939.Later, in March 1942, his brother aged 21 was executed after refusing military service. He also lost his foster mother and wife-to-be to Nazi brutality. The poem above was his farewell verse.

** I really love this poem. After watching the Jehovah's Witnesses Stand Firm Against Nazi Assault, it was one of the things that most caught my attention. I know that someday..I too want to have this strong faith towards Jehovah God even to truly stand firm through difficult times. I am not idolizing the creator of this poem, however, I am looking at myself and thinking 'I am proud to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses. To be able to honor Jehovah by keeping my faith and by standing firm regardless of the situation I am put through. We can all imitate Franz Wohlfahrt's as an example for the times to come. We must all put up a fight against Satan in the end. By standing firm and remain faithful to Jehovah through his Son Jesus Christ, we are remaining loyal to our Sovereign Lord Jehovah and helping him to make a reply to Satan who taunts him daily. (Proverbs 27:11) As humans our integrity is always on the line, so we must have faith and in prayer always ask Jehovah God to help us endure and be courageous. **

Respect Jehovah's Authority

I take the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you today that I have put life and death before you, the blessing and the curse; and you must choose life so that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving Jehovah your God, by listening to his voice, and by sticking to him, for he is your life and by him you will endure a long time.. - Deuteronomy 30:19 (Moses speaking to the Israelites.. before his death and their crossing the Jordan, to get to the Promised Land.)

When respecting Jehovah's authority we must be wise and consider these four things:

1. Our Attitude : Never develop a complaining attitude towards Jehovah God and his theocratic arrangements. Be contempt and promote peace! (Philippians 2:14-16; Matthew 7:1-5; Philippians 4:8; Psalm 103:13, 14; 130:3)

2. Our Association : It can influence us for better or for worse. We need to choose OUR friends wisely! (Proverbs 13:20; Galatians 6:7, 8; 1 Corinthians 15:33)

3. Our Morals : Bad association will always lead us to committing immorality. (1 Corinthians 15:1-13; 15:33; Galatians 6:7, 8) We should be wise to NEVER displease Jehovah God especially if we love him completely.

4. Our Worship : Heartfelt appreciation towards Jehovah and his goodness should impel us to never become idolaters; or do anything he hates. (Proverbs 6:16-19; Psalm 97:10; Romans 12:9)

We need to understand that we should always loyally support Jehovah's Authority no matter what. And to never put him to the test, of course he does ask us to test him out.. (Malachi 3:10; 1 Corinthians 10:9). But that doesn't mean always. Jehovah always shows that he loves us and cares for us... :) We must also remember that our faithfulness to Jehovah is always being tested. How? Satan tries to influence us in subtle ways to disobey Jehovah God and lose his favor. Just like the Israelite's were tested in these four areas in life so will be tested in the same areas.

1 Corinthians 10:1-12

'Now I do not want YOU to be ignorant, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea and all got baptized into Moses by means of the cloud and of the sea; and all ate the same spiritual food and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they used to drink from the spiritual rock-mass that followed them, and that rock-mass meant the Christ. Nevertheless, on most of them God did not express his approval, for they were laid low in the wilderness. Now these things became our examples, for us not to be persons desiring injurious things, even as they desired them. Neither become idolaters, as some of them did; just as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and drink, and they got up to have a good time.” Neither let us practice fornication, as some of them committed fornication, only to fall, twenty-three thousand [of them] in one day. Neither let us put Jehovah to the test, as some of them put [him] to the test, only to perish by the serpents. Neither be murmurers, just as some of them murmured, only to perish by the destroyer. Now these things went on befalling them as examples, and they were written for a warning to us upon whom the ends of the systems of things have arrived. Consequently let him that thinks he is standing beware that he does not fall.'

Megiddo—A Fitting Symbol

I had recently read this on this site..'According to the New Testament, Megiddo will be the site of the final apocalyptic battle between good and evil.' Quotes from this site.(http://news.yahoo.com/israeli-archaeologists-rare-ancient-jewelry-172650054.html)

Just because Megiddo is mentioned in the Bible both in the Old and New Testament, it doesn't mean it will be 'IN' Megiddo. I love how I learned this. Sure Megiddo was a trading place and it was connected to a lot of fierce and decisive wars that took place in Middle East, but in the Bible Megiddo is just a Symbol. Remember the symbolic terms for the Israelites sacrificing sheep?

Quote from Watchtower Site:

'Does the reference to the “Mountain of Megiddo” mean that Armageddon will be fought at a certain mountain in the Middle East? No. For one thing, no such mountain really exists—at the site of ancient Megiddo, there is only a mound rising about 70 feet [20 m] above the adjacent valley plain. In addition, the area around Megiddo could not begin to hold all “the kings of the earth and their armies.” (Revelation 19:19) However, Megiddo was the site of some of the fiercest and most decisive battles in Middle Eastern history. Thus, the name Armageddon stands as a symbol of a decisive conflict, with only one clear victor.'

'Armageddon cannot be just a conflict among earthly nations, since Revelation 16:14 states that “the kings of the entire inhabited earth” form a united front at “the war of the great day of God the Almighty.” In his inspired prophecy, Jeremiah stated that “those slain by Jehovah” will be scattered “from one end of the earth clear to the other end of the earth.” (Jeremiah 25:33) Thus, Armageddon is not a human war confined to a particular location in the Middle East. It is Jehovah’s war, and it is global.'

Last but least...

Revelation 16:16 states 'And they gathered them together to the place that is called in Hebrew Har–Ma·ged´on.'

'Note, however, that at Revelation 16:16, Armageddon is called a “place.” In the Bible, “place” may signify a condition or a situation—in this case, that the entire world will be united in its opposition to Jehovah. (Revelation 12:6, 14) At Armageddon all earthly nations ally themselves against “the armies that were in heaven” under the military command of the “King of kings and Lord of lords,” Jesus Christ.—Revelation 19:14, 16.'

'What about the claim that Armageddon will be a holocaust involving weapons of mass destruction or a collision with a celestial body? Would a loving God allow such a horrific end to humankind and their home, the earth? No. He expressly states that he did not create the earth “simply for nothing” but “formed it even to be inhabited.” (Isaiah 45:18;Psalm 96:10) At Armageddon, Jehovah will not ruin our globe in a cataclysmic conflagration. Rather, he will “bring to ruin those ruining the earth.”—Revelation 11:18.'

Quote: The word “Armageddon” means “Mountain of Megiddo.”  (Just because Armageddon means 'Moutain of Megiddo' it doesn't mean the war will take place in the site, since geographically there are no mountains in Megiddo.

My first intesive study. Though it was hard to understand at some point. Megiddo is just symbolic. It is a fitting symbol of God’s complete victory over all opposing forces.

Armageddon will not be a human war. It will be God's War. 'No human ruler will be victor. It will be the Kingdom of God that will prove triumphant over all of them, vindicating Jehovah God, the Almighty, as Universal Sovereign.'

'Since Armageddon is “the war of the great day of God the Almighty,” there is nothing that humans can do to postpone it. Jehovah has set an “appointed time” for that war to start. “It will not be late.”—Habakkuk 2:3.'

What Habakkuk 2:3 fully says is ' For [the] vision is yet for the appointed time, and it keeps panting on to the end, and it will not tell a lie. Even if it should delay, keep in expectation of it; for it will without fail come true. It will not be late.'

1 Thessalonians 5:2 says ' For YOU yourselves know quite well that Jehovah’s day is coming exactly as a thief in the night' and it is repeated in 2 Peter 3:10 says 'Yet Jehovah’s day will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a hissing noise, but the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be discovered', also in Revealation 3:3 says 'Therefore, continue mindful of how you have received and how you heard, and go on keeping [it], and repent. Certainly unless you wake up, I shall come as a thief, and you will not know at all at what hour I shall come upon you.'

That why Matthew 24:42 asks us to 'Keep on the watch, therefore, because YOU do not know on what dayYOUR Lord is coming.' And it continues with Mathew 24:43-44 as Jesus explains “But know one thing, that if the householder had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have kept awake and not allowed his house to be broken into. On this account YOU too prove yourselves ready, because at an hour that YOU do not think to be it, the Son of man is coming.'
